American Nurses Association

ANA is at the forefront of improving the quality of health care for all.

National Association of Licensed Practical Nurses

The Mission of the National Association of Licensed Practical Nurses (NALPN) is to foster high standards of nursing care and promote continued competence through education/certification and lifelong learning, with a focus on public protection. NALPN is committed to: Quality and professionalism in the delivery of nursing care working with other organizations and groups in a cooperative progressive spirit to build strong professional and public relationships.

National Student Nurse's Association

A national organization, NSNA is focused on mentoring and traing students.The Association was founded in 1952 and now has over 60,000 members.

International Council of Nurses

The International Council of Nurses (ICN) is a federation of more than 130 national nurses associations (NNAs), representing the more than 16 million nurses worldwide.  Founded in 1899, ICN is the world’s first and widest reaching international organisation for health professionals.  Operated by nurses and leading nurses internationally, ICN works to ensure quality nursing care for all, sound health policies globally, the advancement of nursing knowledge, and the presence worldwide of a respected nursing profession and a competent and satisfied nursing workforce.

California Nurses Association. National Nurses Organizing Committee

The CNA is an organization of registered nurses and one of the nation’s fastest growing labor and professional organizations in the U.S. with more than 86,000 members. Among it's stated purposes are fighting for patients and adcating for improvements in healthcare. The CNA sponsored the nation’s foremost RN patient safety law, in California, requiring minimum RN-to-patient ratios, the most effective solution in the U.S. for stemming the erosion of care standards in hospitals.
