About Stanbridge College Information Technology Degree and Diploma Programs

Technology waits for no one, so we keep our Information Technology students ahead of the curve by helping them get certified in a variety of industry-relevant technologies while they are earning a competitive IT diploma or degree. By keeping our courses and certifications industry-responsive, we prepare our IT students for a smooth transition into a challenging, fast-paced, and rewarding career.

The Diploma in Information Technology program lays the foundation for your academic and professional success. With a mastery of LAN/WAN networking in our diploma program, students can confidently transition into the Associate of Science in Information Technology program, where core LAN/WAN concepts are built upon with courses in Security, Wireless Networking, and Project Management. From there, the Bachelor of Science in IT focuses on advanced WAN technologies, virtualization, ethical hacking and forensics. These areas of higher expertise allow ambitious IT professionals to augment their expertise and earn a degree that will enhance their professional viability.

One of the main focuses at Stanbridge is preparing our graduates for upward mobility in their careers. But for many of our students who are working professionals, we understand their time is valuable. The Information Technology diploma and degree classes are offered in the evenings to benefit those who are balancing work, family, and social commitments.

Stanbridge College offers a unique, hands-on IT learning environment focused on practical skills. Each class includes labs that weave IT concepts together in real-time. IT students also participate in real-world scenarios that help them understand how to align IT and business environments while learning the mechanics of IT hardware.

Stanbridge College IT students have access to multimedia videos and Lab SIMs in the Learning Resource Center. The LRC resources include videos of class lectures and practice exams to prepare students for the IT certifications affiliated with the diploma and degree programs.

Stanbridge students learn in classrooms and labs outfitted with the newest technology including:

• Laptops for each student in every classroom
• PowerPoints available online with note saving availability
• Computerized exams for instant score results
• Online Learning Resource System

The programs in Information Technology at Stanbridge College prepare students to take certification exams in the top technical certifications of the IT industry. These certifications are recommended by our Advisory Board for Information Technology, which is comprised of major IT employers in Southern California. IT certifications allow you to verify your educational skills with an industry recognized and valued credential. Most importantly, by adding IT certifications to your resume, potential employers and clients will recognize your certifications as proof of professional achievement.

For each year from 2009 through 2014, Stanbridge College has been named to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, the highest federal recognition a college or university can receive for its commitment to volunteering, service-learning, and civic engagement¹. Stanbridge is also a 2008 - 2009 recipient of the School of Excellence Award from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools & Colleges (ACCSC)². Stanbridge College also was recognized by Institutional Research & Evaluation, Inc. as one of America's Best Technical Colleges for each year from 2009 through 2014.³
