Admissions

Take the first step for your future

Stanbridge University accepts applications for admission to our diploma and degree programs on an open enrollment basis. To apply, please visit the Stanbridge University Portal to access the application form. Your Admissions Representative will provide you with details for each step.

  • Complete an online application form. Click here to start.
  • Meet with your Admissions Representative for a personal tour of the campus.
  • Take the entrance exam appropriate for your educational level and program.
  • Provide proof of high school graduation, a GED or a higher degree.
  • Take the Online Readiness Quiz.
  • Complete entrance questionnaire, essay, and interview.
  • Meet with a Financial Aid Representative to review your tuition funding options.
  • If accepted, complete enrollment paperwork and background check.
  • Submit transfer of credit request by 14th day from acceptance date.
  • Complete financial aid process, if eligible, by 14th day before class start.
  • Attend an orientation prior to the start of your program. In the orientation, you receive important information to help you begin your classes and manage your time at Stanbridge University.

Schedule options that fit your life

PROGRAM DURATION3

The approximate time to complete the program will vary according to the start and end dates of a cohort and ranges from 23 - 24 months, including federal holidays and any breaks between terms. Schedules will be provided upon orientation. This program is 115 Quarter Credit Hours.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE4

The Veterinary Technology program's courses are delivered via on-ground, online, and blended (on-ground and online) learning environments. Labs and teaching clinics take place on-campus. Internships occur at facility.

Full-time:

Term 1 through Term 5 - Theory and Lab
5 days a week: Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Internship 1 in Term 3 - 52 hours Clinical Field Work

Term 6 - Theory, Lab, and Clinical Field Work
5 days a week: Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Offsite laboratory clinics may need to be scheduled on Saturdays 8:00 a.m. -4:30 p.m.

Internship 2 - 280 hours Clinical Field Work

VTNE Exam Prep

The Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) is one of the final milestones required for all veterinary technician graduates to take and pass to become a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in the United States. Created by the American Association of Veterinary State Boards, the VTNE focuses on testing your skills and knowledge of animal care and ability to make decisions in various scenarios under critical conditions. Categories include pharmacy and pharmacology, surgical nursing, dentistry, animal care and nursing, laboratory procedures, diagnostic imaging, anesthesia, and more.

Our commitment to your preparation for certification exams provides you with a comprehensive end-of-program review. Stanbridge University continuously offers top-of-the-line examination preparation to assist you in successfully completing your exam. These services are provided at no additional charge.
