NBCOT & Retention Rates

The National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT®) is a not-for-profit credentialing agency that provides certification for the occupational therapy profession. The NBCOT-COTA examination serves the public interest by developing, administering, and continually reviewing a certification process that reflects current standards of competent practice in occupational therapy. As one of the final milestones before becoming a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, the examination’s questions focus on your ability to make decisions in various patient care scenarios under critical conditions. The COTA exam requires that you understand the basic principles of occupational therapy, client-centered intervention plans, evidence-based practice interventions, and overall professional standards.

We are committed to your preparation for certification. You’ll receive a cumulative review and exit exams followed by a comprehensive end-of-program review and NBCOT-COTA exam preparation. These services are provided at no additional charge to our students.
