Information Technology / Required Disclosures

This document is intended to provide information about Stanbridge College's programs, pursuant to the Code of Federal Regulations related to programs that prepare students for gainful employment. Stanbridge College is institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and approved to operate in California by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE). For those programs that also carry Programmatic Accreditation or Approval, the appropriate agency is listed with that program's information below.

Definitions

  • On-time Completion Rate (as defined in 34 CFR 668.6 (c)). This number is based on the students who graduated during the award year, and did so within "normal time." Normal time is based on the published length of the program in the catalog. This rate is not reflective of the overall completion rate of the program.
  • Tuition and Fees includes the tuition and fees charged for the program during the award year ending on June 30, 2010; the total includes books and equipment. Current tuition and costs can be found in the Academic Catalog.
  • Placement Rate is based on the calculation required by Stanbridge College's accrediting body, ACCSC. ACCSC defines placement rates as the number of graduates who complete within 150% of the program length during the reporting period who were available for employment and found a job in their field of training, divided by the total number of graduates available for employment.
  • Median Loan Debt is the median debt incurred through Title IV HEA loans and other private financing sources by students who complete the program.
The Information Technology - Associate Degree and Information Technology - Bachelor Degree are new programs to the institution and therefore no data is available for Median Loan Debt, Program Completion Rates and Program Placement Rates.

* No graduates available during this period

** Program Placement (ACCSC) - The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) outcomes are calculated by program length, and by tracking start cohorts from their start date through graduation. Employment is calculated by taking the total graduates placed in the field, divided by the total number of graduates minus graduates waived for employment because of continuing education, military, health, incarceration, foreign students or death. Time Frame: To determine the cohort date range, the ACCSC calculation counts backwards from the report date as follows: program length times 1.5 plus 3 months for placement activity.

*** Program Placement (BPPE) - The State of California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) calculation for placement rate: number of graduates employed in the field divided by the number of graduates available for employment for each program that is either (1) designed, or advertised, to lead to a particular career, or (2) advertised or promoted with any claim regarding job placement. Time Frame: January 1, 2008, through December 31, 2008.
