Financial Aid / Financial Aid Overview

At Stanbridge College we like to say “Someday is Today.” But we understand that for many of our prospective students, financing an education may seem impossible “today”. Our highly skilled financial aid department is here to assist you and your family in making your someday a reality, today. Many of our students receive some form of financial aid and we have many options available for obtaining tuition funding including Federal Pell Grants, Federal Student Loans, Federal Parent Loans (PLUS) and other sources. Eligibility for these programs is determined by completion of the Free Application of Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Stanbridge College has the following Financial Aid programs available to those who qualify:

Federal Pell Grant:

The Federal Pell Grant program provides a foundation of financial aid to which additional aid programs may be added. Unlike a loan, a Federal Pell Grant does not need to be repaid.

Federal Direct Loans:

Federal Direct Loans are low-interest loans available to students enrolled at least half-time. This type of funding must be repaid. However, the student does not begin repayment until six months after leaving school.

Federal Direct Parent (PLUS) Loans:

PLUS loans enable parents to borrow funding to assist in paying the education expenses for a dependant student enrolled at least half-time. Within sixty days of the final disbursement of funding parents must begin repayment of these loans.

Sallie Mae Loans:

Smart Option and Career Training student loans are an ideal solution for students who still need funds after they have maximized grants, scholarships, and federal loans.
